Beyond the Basics
While shopping online for embroidered or printed identity apparel, you’ll find most suppliers offer the basics, and most don’t offer much else. Well for some this is ok, but we think you deserve more choices Of course, we’re all about embroidery and we make it look good, but beautiful embroidery looks so much better on a beautiful garment. Basics are ok but who wants ok?
So we are constantly adding to our catalog. We’re always looking for fresh new looks that add style to function, and products that take a different perspective on long-standing themes. So if you take the time to shop for something really special, you’ll find the time has been well-spent and that the end product is much more than just a cool embroidered product.
Have high standards
You have high standards for everything you do. Why not extend your pursuit of excellence to your embroidered apparel. What a great way to differentiate your organization from your competitors. And you know how good you feel, when you’re well dressed. Everyone who will be wearing this fresh new piece will be feeling good about it as well … and that reflects on you.
Admittedly, finding just the right shirt is harder than just choosing the first one you see. So how do you go about finding the perfect product for your next identity piece? It requires looking around, maybe ordering a sample or two, and possibly shopping some more. This does take some time and advance planning, so start early and give yourself plenty of time to make the right choice.
Start at least a month in advance of when you need to have your folks wearing it. Six weeks would be better. Use this time to shop around so you don’t have to make a snap decision. Choose a handful of of products you think have potential. Wait a day or two, then go back and pare down your selection to the top two or three. Check out the reviews of the products on our website. Send a link to some colleagues whose style you admire and get their input.
Find the right fit
Once you’ve narrowed down your selection, order a sample of each. There’s nothing like having an actual product in your hands to know its true character. Order the samples in your size so you can try them on and evaluate the fit. If you need to make an adjustment in size, then you can advise your wearers similarly. Many of the reviews we have on our website will offer impressions on sizing, whether or not the sizing is true to fit. By now, you should have a good feel for the item that’s going to be best for you.
In the end, the extra time you spend in research, shopping, narrowing the selection and choosing the best locations for your embroidery will pay big dividends when you and your team wear your custom embroidered apparel.
